ABOUT

Daughter and granddaughter to landscape painters (mother Isobel Loxton Knight; grandfather Edward Loxton Knight), Georgia has been immersed in drawing and painting since an early age.

Her work explores the nature of memory as a process of distortion, reinvention, and abstraction. Eschewing conventionally frail and airy representations of recollection, she invokes something tactile that can melt or fragment - with bold imagery that's faithfully rendered yet reassembled from time and feeling.

Drawing on an archive of summers spent at the beach, her first collections feature vast, immersive waterscapes, and kaleidoscopic visions of sun-drenched bathers; inviting the viewer to dream, or recall memories of their own.
